Kyanna is a student at The George Washington University majoring in Political Communication. Originally from Las Vegas, New Mexico, Kyanna is a Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute Scholar and Elks National Scholar. In addition she is the current Co-President of the Racially and Ethnically Mixed Student Association (REMix), the President of GW Casa Blanca, a Latinx community based organization, an active member of GW-TV, and an Opinions Writer for MediaFile, a GW student run publication. In her free time she volunteers her time tutoring youth in math and reading and enjoys exploring D.C. and the surrounding areas.
